The association was set up as a producer of a detached plant in Tyler, Texas, United States in 1981. It was first recorded on the London Stock Exchange in 2005. In 2010, it acquired a 20 percent share in the Gateway stockpiling design, an undersea sinkhole for gas stockpiling. In November 2013, Petrofac and the Italian oil firm Bonatti grouped together on a $650 million joint meander contract for Sonatrach, adding to the relationship's starting at now essential closeness in Algeria. In November 2014, the association issued an advantage advised, saying that advantage for 2015 will fall by 25%, as lessening demand in China and abundant US yield cuts the oil cost.
